Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. James 2.17
You cannot depend on anyone or anything that is dead. The same is also true about faith, because when it is dead it is useless.
If your faith is dead, how can you succeed when there is a spiritual barrier between you and what you want? This is why many people fight, work hard, but never accomplish anything. They fight for a lot, but have very little.
It is useless to try to overcome this spiritual barrier with your own strength. You will work your entire life and never have anything. It will be like those people who, obtain a little, but end up losing it.
Until Abraham was called by God, his faith was dead. What he had was a result of something natural. He would naturally inherit his parent’s possessions, but would die without realizing the dream of having a child, since it was impossible.
However, when he heard the voice of God and obeyed, his faith revived. The barrier that was between him and his dream was destroyed. What he had, Isaac, was extraordinarily multiplied like the sand of the beach.
The works of faith are its results, its benefits. When I say I have faith, but there are no results, works or something visible to show this faith, then it is dead. Dead faith refuses to GIVE.
But do you want to know, o foolish man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? And the Scripture was fulfilled… James 2.20-23
Living faith GIVES.
Abraham gave his all on the Altar, manifesting his faith, and God gave His all to Abraham. It is my all for the all of God.
