Everything that we plant on the Altar is multiplied. Abraham is an example of this, because he placed his son on the Altar and had (has) his descendants multiplied by God.

And said: “By Myself I have sworn, says the Lord, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son – blessing I will you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies… Genesis 22.16-17

Today Abraham continues to reap the fruits of his sacrifice when a person is saved, dies, and he receives them in his bosom. Notice how God makes sure to show him how much his sacrifice was worth it, and that He (God) always keeps His promises far beyond what we could imagine and expect.

Abraham expected and wanted a child, one child. However, God gave him a true multitude of children, not only while Abraham was alive, but now, at this exact moment, Abraham continues to meet his children and receives them even before God Himself.

How wonderful!
Abraham’s children are carried to his bosom, like when a baby is born and is held by his father. Every day he receives a new child, so it is clear why God emphasized that He would bless him exceedingly.

God gave Abraham the honor of receiving his children in faith, proving to him His eternal faithfulness.

So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. Luke 16.22-23

Through his example of faith and obedience, Abraham continues to reap the fruits of his sacrifice today. He receives his children in faith, who grow in number every time a person decides to imitate him, by living in obedience, like he did.

This is the power of sacrificial faith!
