Accept or surrender?
Let him hear what the Spirit says to the Christians:
How many times have you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, yet nothing changed in your life?
The problem is that you accepted Him but did not surrender your life.
Whether you accept Him or reject Him makes no difference.
None, until there is total surrender.
How can a person accept Jesus without surrendering their life, yet still expect to receive a new life?
It is impossible to receive a new life without forsaking your present life.
It is impossible to have two lives at the same time.
The Spirit of God can only be poured upon those who completely and unconditionally surrender their life to Him.
Not those who accept Him!
This is why the Lord commands:
Put on the whole armor of God…
The Whole Armor of God is the Fullness of God, this is, His Spirit.
In the same text, He adds:
Take up the whole Armor of God…
To put on or take up the whole Armor of God, it is necessary to give or surrender your life to the Lord Jesus.
The Spirit of God is the Spirit of Faith. This Faith allows a person to be born of the Spirit; this Faith makes him spirit; this Faith makes it possible for someone with a bad character to become a new person, filled with the Holy Spirit.
However, this Faith requires you to sacrifice your present life in exchange for the new life the Lord has to offer.
To put on or take up the whole armor of God is a pure act that cannot be transferred by those who truly want to change their life.
Read the comment made by Aline:
Bishop, I’ve been a member of the Universal Church for almost 20 years. I’ve had experiences with God, was healed and received some blessings, but I haven’t received the greatest miracle that could ever happen to me, which is to receive the Holy Spirit… I was proud and rebellious, and never allowed the Spirit of God to work in me… But I’m tired of the empty and meaningless life I have been living. A couple of days ago, you were speaking about the valley of dry bones on the radio and that’s how I see myself Bishop, like those bones… but now I want a new life! I am willing to sacrifice and give my all during this Fast of Daniel. I’m going to start obeying and practicing the Word of God… I want to lead a good life, so I’m going to seek Him with all my strength.
This is the spirit of those who truly want to change!
May God bless you abundantly!
