I can only imagine what Abraham felt climbing up mount Moriah to offer his son as a sacrifice. If on one hand he went up in full assurance of faith, confident about God’s promise, on the other hand his heart was probably torn apart by the task at hand.
We know what happened up there… He passed the test! His obedience touched God’s heart and in return he was given an oath.
God swore to bless him!
Now, can you imagine how he felt coming down that mountain? It must have been the happiest day of his life. The fire of faith was burning within him. He was certainly overflowing with joy.
That’s probably what you carry inside since last Sunday, after fulfilling your vow on the altar.
But it is not over yet. You cannot stop until you conquer what you sacrificed for. You must finish what you started.
