Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus… Hebrews 10.19
Today we have access to God’s presence, but maybe you do not realize what a great and profound privilege it is that allows us to enter the presence of the Almighty anytime, anywhere. To give you a small idea of this, think about this: Is it easy to schedule a meeting with President Dilma Rousseff? (president of Brazil) Is it easy to schedule an appointment with President Barak Obama? Of course not! But our Lord Jesus says:
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28
How wonderful this is, assistants! Jesus made access into the presence of the King of kings p[ossible when the veil was torn from top to bottom at his death (Mark 15:38).
This means that when you call upon and seek God, He will let you find Him. Imagine the Temple, where all the attention is directed to Him, every effort is being made for the presence of God to appear there, in that holy place. This is why we need to keep pushing forward and preparing ourselves, sanctifying ourselves and developing the reverence, respect, fear, and honor that will glorify Him in spirit and in truth.
In ancient times, the priests would purify themselves before entering the Holy of Holies, and today we must do the same. Our purification begins now, not on the day of our consecration. On that day it will be important for us to be ready to simply praise the Lord, and in return receive the presence, and the renewing consecration of the Holy Spirit, dividing our lives into before and after.
The veil that separated us from the presence of God is the Lord Jesus Himself; He is our mediator, how powerful this thought is!
…I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14.6
Only the high priest could enter the Holy of Holies to offer sacrifices, whereas today we can all enter the Most Holy Place of the Temple. Why? Because Jesus, our Lord, is the High priest before God.
…by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God… Hebrews 10:20-21
Assistants, prepare yourself for this day!
May God bless you.
