Since I converted, the sense of knowing and doing the will of God has consumed me all the time. Every once in a while, I would fall into temptation and omit His will to do my own. This was a constant and almost unbearable battle. This inner conflict seems to occur in the lives of everyone that is born of the Spirit.
The advantage of those living in the kingdom of darkness is that these conflicts do not invade their conscious. Those who serve the lord of darkness could care less about what is right and what is wrong. They follow their own laws. Anything goes. Their lives depend on the selfish principles of human nature. The inclinations of the flesh always prevail. Nobody belongs to nobody. Justice, respect and love for others are great values, as long as they do not interfere with the person’s ambitious personal desires, which makes this world a little bit of hell.
How can the corruptive nature of man be changed? For example, how can a strong-willed, violent, angry man become calm, peaceful and nonaggressive? From a human point of view it’s impossible. Religions, doctrines, advice, medications or treatments are a waste of time.
Only after going through the process of being born again, which is the Miracle of miracles, is it possible to live the Christian faith. After this takes place, the awareness of living within biblical guidelines and doing the will of God, charged by the Throne of Justice, are met.
Obviously, the same power of the Spirit who brings forth children of God also works such different behavior. However, when this does not happen, it’s due to the absence of the Holy Spirit.
Then you shall again discern between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serves Him. Malachi 3.18
Nevertheless, the desires, dreams and personal projects of the righteous, this is, those who are born of the Spirit, become the same as the Eternal Father, since both are One in Spirit (I Corinthians 6.17).
This is the main characteristic of those born of water and the Spirit.
