Like Adam and Eve, many people prefer to listen to the devil’s ideas instead of remaining faithful to the will and commands of God. At that moment, he used the snake to astonish and influence them. Nowadays, it is not much different.

Evil uses family members, or close friends, and even messages or videos on the internet of people that are completely apart from the path of Truth, remaining with the same goal: rebellion and disobedience disguised as “good intentions”.

We can foresee this situation when God said to the serpent:

And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel. Genesis 3.15

The woman is the church that will bruise (will crush) the serpent’s head. This means that the church will always triumph over all the attacks of hell. However, the serpent shall bruise his heel. So, whose heel will he bruise?

Those who, instead of being up high, close to the Head of the Church, which is the Lord Jesus, and constantly feeding off of the thoughts of Christ, prefer to stay down below, distant. As distant as the heel…

For this reason, it is easier for the snake that lives on the ground, crawling, to bruise the heel instead of the Head. So, beware! Don’t listen to those who are on the ground and fallen, because those who find themselves in this situation will always, and inevitably, be bruised by the devil.
