When a person is sitting and sees something very important happening, she immediately stands up. And if it is within his reach to do something to help, he won’t only get up but he will also take action.
But from now on, the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the Power of God. Luke 22.69
Everyone who lives a faith in the Lord Jesus knows that He is seated at the right hand of God, and there are also many religious people who know of this.
However, what situation causes the Lord Jesus to stand up from His throne?
The Bible tells us that when Stephen was about to be killed, he looked up to Heaven and saw the glory of God and Jesus, who was standing at the right hand of God.
When they heard these things they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed at him with their teeth. But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God, and said, “Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!” Acts 7.54-56
Jesus knew that Stephen was going to die and permitted his death; however, He stood up to receive the soul of someone that belonged to Him.
When someone dies, the Lord Jesus may remain sitting or stand up. In the case of a person who does not belong to Him, why would He stand up? Though He does not take pleasure in anyone’s death, He laments, because He gave His Own Life:
…that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3.16
But when it comes to a person who is the exclusive property of God, Jesus stands up to say, “This SOUL IS MINE!” And the devil, though he may be standing there too, cannot do anything about it. He has already lost.
We work so that on the day of your death, the Lord Jesus is standing.
