Peace and Torment

The cemetery is the perfect place for peace and tranquility. There are no disputes there.

All the people there have taken with them love and hate, joys and sorrows, hope and despair, faith and doubts, kindness and wickedness, humility and pride, wealth and poverty…

They all had the same fate. Their bodies decompose in peace.

And their souls, where are they?

Wherever they may be, are they also in peace?

The Lord Jesus said:

And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the Kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell… Mark 9.47

If one eye can send many souls to hell, imagine when sin dominates the entire body.

Hell is full of souls that, in life, had good intentions. But they never feared the Creator. They never believed His Word.

Instead, they lived life from one party to the next…

They ignored the meaning of Jesus’ death.

And they even mocked His Word, never taking it seriously.

They thought they could live life however they wanted to because, according to them, man invented hell.

And many, on the path of sin, maintain the same thoughts and continue to practice the same sins.

However, the question that begs to be answered is:

Is your conscience in perfect peace concerning the Salvation of your soul?

If you die today, do you know where you will spend eternity?

The rich man begged Abraham to send Lazarus to warn his five brothers about hell. Luke 16.27-28

The same is true for those who are there. They would like to warn their children, parents, brothers and their loved ones about Salvation in Christ Jesus, so they don’t end up being cast into hell also.

But, they can’t.

I can imagine their anguish.

Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided? Luke 12.20
