What do you think Jesus is telling us in this message?

And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.

He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.

But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” Revelations 21.6-8

Comment about The Wrath of God

God is love, but justice is also one of His attributes.

And what is justice? According to philosophy and law, “justice is giving each person what he or she deserves” (defined by Aristotle).

Therefore, if I commit an iniquity, I am going to receive what is rightly mine: evil. If I am unrighteous and deliberately live in sin, aware of what I am doing, the Lord Jesus’ sacrifice meant nothing. It will have no effect in my life. Now, one thing must remain clear: we are all sinners – and always will be sinners. What we cannot allow to happen is have our sins and iniquities dominate us. Unflagging vigilance is necessary.

Bishop, we should also give practical examples so everyone can understand: to live in sin is to live a lie; this is, it is consciously and repeatedly practicing a certain behavior that is prohibited by the Word of God: to lie; steal; kill; covet; envy; be greedy (there are people who give tithes and offerings out of fear of the devourer and not for love, this is why the windows of heaven are not opened for them. Besides, greed towards God and the work of God attracts grief and causes delay.); betraying your spouse; promiscuity (prostitution is sex without love – I don’t think it is sinful for a couple that has lived together for a certain period of time to maintain an active sex life, when there is mutual fidelity, respect and love); avoid grief and hatred. Those who are married should love and respect their wives. These sins, and others, when practiced consistently, destroy the soul and attract all sorts of negative spiritual energy. And worse, this happens with God’s permission.

Like it is written: And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful;  who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them. Romans 1.28-32

Therefore, lets keep watch so that God does not give us over to a debased mind.

I used to be just one more person in this world! Limited vision, a closed mind, I only lived for myself. What I turned into in the world was all in vain, because I was unhappy. I was totally empty, hollow; I had no hope whatsoever. I had terrible nightmares every night, “ghosts” would scare me and would whisper things in my ears, always right before I went to bed.

I felt insecure—had a serious inferiority complex. All I wanted to do was die, but my suicide attempts were failures. The path I was following led to nothing. I slept around, was addicted to alcohol, and was approaching the end of my life.

People gave me advice, but I never listened, and always did what was wrong—to punish myself for all this I would cut my body. The emptiness, depression, the world, my friends, the problems, the voices—all this made me worse day by day, with a greater urge to just die.

This was how I arrived at the Força Jovem Universal (youth group in Brazil)—lost, discouraged, unhappy, and destroyed both inside and out. In the youth group, people around me believed in me and offered me help, but I didn’t know what to do—I had a lot if questions. What did letting go of sin entail? …or abandoning what is wrong and following Jesus? What was an encounter with God? …or baptism in the Holy Spirit? I didn’t know… but I wanted them. I wanted to change my life; I wanted to know this God that everyone talked about. I wanted this and I overcame. Letting go of sins was by biggest obstacle because many times I had to say “no”, and it hurt. But I did it; people helped and so did God.

I was all worth it and today I am a new person, and brand new young lady. The big difference was when the Holy Spirit came over me. The emptiness that brought sadness, the desire to die, my friends, the drinking, the sleeping around, were all replaced with the love and mercy of God. Today I am baptized in the Holy Spirit and have been raised as an Assistant. I remember everything that I went through, the hole that God pulled me out of, and I am ready to help people who are going through the same thing, and to  tell them: “It’s not worth it!”

False happiness comes to all if us. I thought I was happy until I found Jesus. We all know what’s going on inside of us; we know whether or not we are truly happy. Look inside and be honest with yourself… Something was missing inside of me—in truth, everything was missing. Jesus calls us every day, but the choice is up to each one of us.

My name is Isabelle Natal, I am seventeen, and my life changed when I found Jesus at the Universal Church.

Possible conflicts of Abraham

God tests Abraham asking for the sacrifice of his son (Genesis 22)

Introduction

What would you do if God asked you to sacrifice your only son? The lesson for today will demonstrate that the servant of God, Abraham, faced this reality. We will examine the integrity and implications of this father of faith, and how he was approved and answered by the Lord in a marvelous manner.

I. Why did God test Abraham in this manner?

God’s purpose in placing Abraham in this very difficult test was to increase his faith, granting him a greater victory through a greater understanding of God and His plan. In this process of testing, Abraham had the opportunity to demonstrate obedience and to grow in spirit. God wanted to see the heart of Abraham; God wanted to verify whether or not he loved Him more than his son Isaac, and to test his faith in His promise to make him into a great nation.

II. Possible conflicts and questions experienced by Abraham

1. Abraham experienced a huge conflict. As a father he loved his son Isaac, and yet, as a servant of God he knew he had to obey.
2. Nothing could justify this request of God.
3. How could his son be sacrificed when the promise of making him into a great nation would be through that very son?

III. Immediate obedience

Even when he did not understand the motive behind God’s order, Abraham obeyed immediately (v.3).
On his way to the sacrifice, there must have been a whirlwind of thoughts in the mind of Abraham our father, and yet, by faith, he kept walking in obedience to the Lord.

IV. Abraham believed that God would resurrect his son Isaac. (v.4,5)

When he said to his servants: “You two stay here… We will worship and then return to you” (v.5), it is abundantly clear that Abraham believed that after sacrificing his son to the Lord, He would resurrect him so that God’s promises might come true. This was the highest point in Abraham’s faith, and this same faith is being lived out by those who surrender to the Lord, accepting Him as Savior of their souls. (Rm. 10.9,10)

Preparing the Bride

“For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.” 2 Corinthians 11.2

Our work, and that of each servant dedicated to winning souls, in the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God, is to prepare the bride (which is the Church), to present her to the Lord Jesus.

The work of the servants is to evangelize, bring people in, deliver, cleanse, baptize in water, teach, baptize with the Holy Spirit, save and place that person in the arms of the Lord Jesus.

Now we understand what Paul said: “My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you,” Galatians 4.19

That’s right, the main objective of our daily sacrifice is to SAVE.

If we lose our focus, someone else will be put in our place, because the day is approaching and the bride has to be ready for the wedding.

The Universal Church buys and inaugurates a former catholic church in Montreal

The Church of St. Vincent de Paul is located on one of the main streets in Montreal – the largest and most populated province in Quebec, Canada. The church had been closed since 2008, except on Friday nights, when it was used to host fights such as MMA (mixed martial arts), also known as full-contact unarmed combat events.

Meanwhile, the Universal Church in Montreal needed a bigger place to hold their meetings. Initially, a hall with the capacity for 100 people was rented, but it was no longer enough.

As soon as the property was put up for sale, the Universal Church decided to buy it. The problem of not having enough space was now solved: the building had the capacity to comfortably accommodate 800 people.

The next step was to spread the word about the new location. Announcements were printed in a newspaper and 30-second commercials were made on a local radio station – inviting people to the inauguration.

Last Sunday (19), with a temperature of -5 degrees, 244 people showed up to the inauguration of the new Universal Church. Though it was snowing heavily, 170 people attended the morning meeting in French, and 14 people were present in the evening. Sixty people attended the Spanish meeting.

Because it was colonized by the French and British, Montreal is considered the second largest French-speaking city in the world. This is why the meetings, lead by Bishop Ricardo Souza, in French are fundamental.

This was just the first of three “Day of R” Sundays, which is an event that is happening in every country where there is a Universal Church. Those who came seeking spiritual help had their faith renewed and hope to have their lives restored in the Lord Jesus. But, mainly, as bishop Ricardo said, “They were able to rebuild their relationship with God and obtain the salvation of their souls.”

During the deliverance prayer, a woman was healed of back pain. But this is just the first of many testimonies that will be professed in the new temple, which is open every day to proclaim the glory of God and the good works of His hands.

If you’re in Montreal or plan on visiting, be sure to come by the Church, which is located downtown, at 2330 Rue Saint Catherine Est.

The wrath of God

It is rare to hear anyone speaking about the wrath of God.

Personally, I’ve never heard a message about it.

The subject is taboo in churches.

It seems like the fear of losing members forces preachers to avoid the subject.

Mercy, love and the grace of God are the constant theme in pulpits.

They are attractive subjects that make the public feel good.

They don’t make anyone feel uncomfortable… not even hell.

They create the sense that God the Father in heaven, in the end, will open the door for everyone.

It’s hard to imagine the wrath of God when His word says that He is love. 1 John 4:8,16

But the fact is that He is love just as much as He is justice, and will never tolerate unrighteousness or sin.

Those who know and believe in the truth, but don’t practice it, are playing with their faith.

The LORD tired of Israel’s idiotic mindset of assuming that the observance of religious traditions would compensate for sin.

But this is what has happened with many believers. They think that love and the grace of God cancel out their fleshliness.

They forget that…
The LORD is slow to anger and ABOUNDING in loyal love, forgiving iniquity and transgression, but by no means clearing the guilty… Numbers 14:18

No one should use the benevolence and compassion of God as an excuse to continue in sin, because the wrath of God is revealed against the rebellious—the children of disobedience.

Let nobody deceive you with empty words, for because of these things Gods wrath comes on the sons of disobedience.  Ephesians 5:6

This Sunday we will complete the chain of Restoration with the Lord’s Supper. The Holy Spirit teaches us that each one of us should examine his or her self before participating in the body and blood of His Son Jesus.  1 Corinthians 11:28

And so, this is a big opportunity for slaves of sin to free themselves and begin a new life.

May all of you be blessed in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ

The power of determination

She had done all that could be done, and… nothing.

Twelve years of chronic hemorrhage seemed like an eternity.

Doctors, medicines and alternative treatments had consumed all her money, and… nothing.

Neither family, neighbors nor friends had the power to help her.

Words of Hope and comfort did no good.
But someone told her about Jesus.
Her strength recovered; her faith was reborn and she acted in search of an unknown Power.

The barriers of her debilitating condition and the difficulties of the journey did not stop her from reaching Jesus.
The crowd of people around Jesus did not make her give up.
She had such a conviction that—whether or not her problem was publicly exposed—nothing was going to stop her from receiving a miracle.

She had already determined: “If I only touch the hem of His garment, I will be healed.”

And it happened!
…just like she had determined.

The Spirit of God is looking for people who are determined, convicted, bold, daring, brave, and courageous—people through whom He can manifest His greatness, that have faith independent of the difficulties.

With every miracle there is a war between our personal convictions and the circumstances.
Those who believe in the promises insist with the One that made the promises.

Fight with the weapons of faith and conquer…

For the weapons of our warfare are not human weapons, but are made powerful by God for tearing down strongholds. We tear down arguments…  2 Corinthians 10:4.

Those who don’t believe… try, experiment, gamble, or count on luck.

Women, let men be a gentlemen!

I am not defending the feminist movement. As a matter of fact, I disagree, based on the Bible, with some of their ideals. However, I recognize that today we can enjoy the rights won by women who fought hard.

Some of these legitimate rights are: sign a contract, have property in our name, the right to vote, labor rights, the right to use contraception, medical care and prenatal care, maternity leave, have our physical integrity preserved etc.

However, during the quest for equality, we lost some things that are peculiar to women and their feminine nature. And this is what I would like to write about, to promote a behavior that is being lost.

Women asked for a sexual revolution: in the last 40 years, there has been a visible increase in promiscuity, sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancy. Millions of children have been born without a home to welcome them, many don’t even know who their father is. Mothers need to go to court to demand a monthly pension. We won’t even talk about love.

Women are giving themselves to people who are only after their body and are not willing to love their soul.

Freedom is a gift that we receive from God when we are born, but it has a price, which is to make the right choices. Because, otherwise, the bill comes and it may be too pricy.

Women are also preventing men from being what they were designed to be: protectors.

Even if you work, if it’s easy to open a door, you know all the answers, you know how to change a light bulb, etc., allow your husband or boyfriend to kindly help you.

I often hear women complaining that romantic men and gentlemen no longer exist, but they are contributing to this extinction.

Before grabbing all the bags and complaining that men are no longer made like before, how about saying, “I wish I was as strong as you, my love, that way I could carry all this weight…” His reaction will be: carry all the weight, and perhaps, carry you too, just to show how strong he really is, lol?

Let him open the car door, pull out your chair, let you go first, hold the umbrella, protect you from the cold with his jacket, open the olive jar, call the waiter…

We are not weak because we like flowers, or like to be praised when we go to the hair salon, or because we like to talk. We are women…

And where is it written that a woman has to split the restaurant bill all the time?

If he is able to pay, there is no harm in that!

In the past, feminists took to the streets and burned their bras, high heels, makeup, fake eyelashes, girdles… as a form of protest. They quickly discovered what they already knew: it was very difficult to do without them. They had to buy all of those things again. Are we inferior because we use, need and like these things?

When you inhibit a man from being a gentleman you are doing the same thing.

If you are wise, you must know what is good and what you need as a woman. No burdens should take away your privilege of being a woman.

Men and women deserve to be treated with equal dignity and respect, within their differences.

This subject gives for a good conversation. What is your opinion?

What do you miss most today and would ask men to change?

I don’t know if they are going to read our opinions, but at least we can further clarify this issue, don’t you think?

Hum… I have an idea: how about you send this post to a friend and find out what he thinks?

The Light of Good Eyes

God is Spirit.

God is Light

God is Life.

Those who are alive have the Light of God to follow Him or resist Him.

This ugly beauty chose to follow Him.

The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore, when your eye is good, your whole body also is full of light. But when your eye is bad, your body also is full of darkness. Luke 11.34

Take a look at the Light of God in this young woman!
