Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour? But for this purpose I came to this hour. John 12.27
These hours the Lord Jesus experienced were not easy, but He endured it all because He knew His Father had a purpose.
There are times we go through certain situations where people ask: “Does God exist?”
However, surrendering your life on the Altar is what will sustain you during these hours.
Notice how Joseph was sold like a slave, but there was a purpose to preserve his life by doing so.
Esther was taken from her cousin’s house to the palace, but there was a purpose to save the Jews from extermination.
Who doesn’t remember Bishop Macedo being arrested in 1992?
At the time, the bishop said he did not understand, but he was sure it was for the good of the work – it was a purpose of God.
The growth of the Universal Church after this occurred is very noticeable.
God is a God of purposes.
This is why He allows certain situations to happen, so that, through them, His power will be manifested in an extraordinary way.
The secret is for us to remain on the Altar.
