…Jesus wanted to go to Galilee, and He found Philip and said to him, “Follow Me.” Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. Philip found Nathanael and said to him, “We have found Him of whom Moses in the law, and also the prophets, wrote – Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” John 1.43-45
We can see here that Philip was euphoric to find Jesus. He did one of the most common things evident when someone has an encounter with Jesus, because the joy is so great that it pours out from our being, and we want to spread the news to those around us.
Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth? John 1.46
This is one of the most common questions we hear when we evangelize someone who, under the influence of the devil because of the media, says: “Can anything good come of the ‘Universal Church of Edir Macedo’?
Take a look at Philip’s answer: …Come and see.
Assistants, youths and evangelists, this will be the theme of our Mega Evangelization for March 23rd, the Sunday of “COME AND SEE”. Let’s go out into the field and invite our relatives, neighbors and friends to come and see Jesus in their lives, where there will be miracles and they will have an encounter with God. We will all engage in this national search for souls, where we will fill all the meetings on this great Sunday of “COME AND SEE”. It is going to explode! Since you have found Jesus, you will also do as Philip did, he immediately invited his friend Nathaniel to meet the One who saw him and… said: “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!” John 1.47
The Lord Jesus already knew Nathanael, just like He already knows the guests who will be attending the great day of “COME AND SEE”, who will be delighted to meet Him:
“Rabbi,” Nathaniel replied, “You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!” John 1.49(HCSB)
This is also what will happen through the manifestation of God’s power. On this great day people will recognize Him as King of Israel and will surrender their lives to Him. This is what I believe.
May the Spirit of God bless you.
