2017 will explode

2016 has ended, and many people were left feeling as though they did not achieve what they intended. Others, with a heavy heart, entered 2017 thinking about problems that brought them much sadness. However, regardless of how the year ended and how the new year began, the Word of God is emphatic in determining:

Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? Isaiah 43.18-19

Now, it is up to you to do the same: forget everything you left behind, and start with self-forgiveness. In other words, forgive yourself for everything and forgive everyone who mistreated you. Throw away into last year’s garbage can all the chains of darkness that bound you. Sorrows, doubts, bad thoughts, bad eyes and everything else that still holds you back, whether it is a recent past or not.

“Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old.” In other words, you should not beat yourself up over what you did or didn’t do, nor should you blame yourself or blame someone for something that happened. Stop thinking about what has already happened and look towards the target, which is in front of you.

There are only 363 days remaining until 2017 comes to an end. However, there are 363 new opportunities to start over. So start determining today what will happen in upcoming days.

The Lord does one new and greater thing every day, but He asks, “Shall you not know it?” To know the good things that the Almighty has done, we must have good eyes and, above all, faith. Good eyes make us see the same perspective as God, and faith makes us achieve what we see.

Therefore, if you determine right now and begin to take actions that show your faith, I don’t have the slightest doubt that 2017 will be the best year of your life and YOU WILL EXPLODE!!!!

Internet – what harm can it bring

Inter-NET or an internal net, which has caught many that have turned into prey for the devil. Did you ever see a small fly struggling to free itself from a spider web?

People are in this state; they are stuck with the social networks, games, and sites of all kinds of filt; it is the devil dragging many to hell online.

The truth is that with the advance of technology and computing, people go to sleep and wake up holding their cell phones.

The last thing they do at night is checking their cell phones.
The first thing in the morning is the cell phone.

The devil knows that he is not omnipresent. Therefore, he stays online 24 hours hunting for his prey.

There is an overabundance of apps, groups, and tools to keep you busy with the internet; evil’s baits are very tempting.

It is not wrong to use the internet, cell phone, computer, and apps. Being enslaved by them is what is wrong.

You have protected your computer from viruses, but has your soul been contaminated with evil viruses?

The internet has led many to touch the fruit of the tree of life. The devil says, “Eat, and you will become knowledgeable of GOOD and EVIL…”

When you use the internet in a responsible way and most importantly, with fear of God, this net does not take you to hell.

The fruit was there at their disposal, and they had access to it, but the fear of God did not allow them to touch it. Those who use the internet without the fear of God are touching the forbidden fruit and will lose Paradise, sooner or later.

How to know if the Internet is benefiting or harming you?

Analyze what you read, listen to, the sites and blogs you visit, the videos you watch, the groups and communities you participate in, the chatrooms, etc.

If you have turned into that fly imprisoned by the spiderweb (the Internet), you need deliverance just as a person addicted to drugs.

Here goes a tip for those who use the internet: “All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.” (1 Corinthians 6.12) Every time you go online, remember this verse.

May the God of the Bible bless you!

Soul Winners – Fishers of Men

Then Jesus said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.” (Mark 1.17)

Nothing compares to the joy and peace one has when receiving Salvation. This new-found strength drives the person to reach out to others. It is a passion that God Himself placed inside of that person’s heart. This person cannot imagine one day passing by without taking the word of salvation, healing, and transformation to those who are suffering. In this faith, the Soul Winner Group came about – formed by people who have a true and sincere relationship with God and who put all their strength into saving souls. Soul Winners do not limit themselves to place and circumstance; their mission speaks louder than anything, and they will face cold, snow, deserts, distance, and any obstacle in order to tell others about Jesus and to show them the way for a complete life transformation. A Soul Winner does not see nationality, the color of the skin, or the difference in lifestyle; they see everyone as a precious soul that needs God’s help and guidance.

universal_church_soul_winner_chadThe group functions not only in the USA but also in more than 100 countries, reaching out to people from various nationalities and backgrounds. Soul Winners have active social projects in hundreds of communities throughout the world, taking not only the food and clothing but above all, the spiritual help those who are in distress need. Soul Winners go to street corners, visit homes in distant places where the church has not a location yet, they call and follow up with those that write their names in the prayerbook, and they pray for the community without giving up.

universal_church_soul_winner_brazilSoul Winners give so much of their time and effort into reaching out to others, but they also receive much spiritual support and guidance from the pastors that care for the group. They have weekly meetings and one-on-one spiritual support, helping each other in the journey for taking God’s Kingdom to all the peoples of the world.

If you have the desire to do more for God, to grow spiritually and reach out to others, then speak with the pastor at The Universal Church near you for more information on how to join the Soul Winners Group.

Tested and approved

And in the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to the Lord. Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat. And the Lord respected Abel and his offering, but He did not respect Cain and his offering. And Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell. Genesis 4.3-5

When Cain brought his offering to the Altar, God was not pleased with him or his offering. Why? The truth is that Cain could have done more on the Altar, much more than what he did, and God knew this. He was reproved by God Himself, and he knew that it would reflect in his life. This is why his countenance fell. His work, his future, everything in his life was destined for failure; after all, he displeased the Almighty, the only One that could bless every aspect of his life.

In Abel’s case, God was pleased with him and what he offered on the Altar, because Abel made a real sacrifice. His sacrifice was excellent, it was perfect, and so he left the Altar different than his brother, knowing that his work and his entire future were in the hands of God.

Both, Abel and Abraham, were tested and approved, they overcame. On the other hand, Cain was not accepted.

…To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it. Revelation 2.17

Paradise on earth

In the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve didn’t want to sacrifice (to obey God’s voice) and they lost paradise.

“Cursed is the ground on account of you; in hard labour you will eat of it.” (Genesis 3.17)

This has been the life of all those who disobey.

Abraham sacrificed (obeyed God’s voice), and lived in paradise here on earth. He enjoyed life in its fullness and died in a good old age, filled with days. In eternity, “Abraham’s Bosom” is considered paradise itself (Luke 16.22).

The Abrahamic faith shows that you don’t need to wait until you get to eternity to live in paradise. Paradise can start here, but there is a price to enter and remain there: your obedience.

We have seen this happen in the life of those who have followed this faith. People whose life truly was a living hell, today enjoy a life of paradise on earth. From the internal to the external aspects of their life, they enjoy heaven on earth. Jesus said:

“To him who overcomes I will give permission to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.” (Revelation 2.7)

Notice that the access to paradise is for the ones who overcome — those who overcome themselves, their feelings, their will, the opinion of other people and the world, through their total surrender on the altar.

Yes, when someone places their life on the altar, they place themselves in the midst of paradise. They bring paradise to their life. The altar is the entrance to paradise, and from there, they overcome sickness, poverty, depression, their adversaries, their old self — everything that comes against them.

“To him who overcomes I will give the hidden manna to eat…” Revelation 2.17

In the desert, in the time of Moses, the manna was given to all people. Even unbelievers ate it, but the “hidden manna” is only for those who give themselves, who surrender and sacrifice everything — father, mother, personal projects, boyfriend, etc. — for the faith they have. This manna is not for unbelievers. It is paradise, heaven on earth for you, starting here and now, in this life.

Do you consider your life today a paradise?

If not, exchange hell for paradise on the altar of God.

What did Abraham want the most

Most likely, the answer automatically came to mind: “A child, of course”. But, the truth is that Abraham wanted much more than that, as we can tell from his actions. The desire that burned inside his chest was not simply to receive a blessing, a son, but to be a blessing and bring forth a nation for the glory of God.

What Abraham wanted the most was not a child. If all he wanted was a child, he would not have sacrificed him on the Altar – after all, he already had him! What Abraham wanted the most was to please God.

There was a time when all he wanted was a child. Abraham’s vision was focused on this.

“Lord God, what will You give me, seeing I go childless?” Genesis 15.2

Immediately, God brought him outside and showed him the stars in the sky. Then, Abraham’s vision was opened.

From that moment on, he realized that his plans were no longer in question; this was the Plan of God. His request, which until that moment seemed so great, became insignificant compared to what God wanted – after all, what is a son compared to a nation? The hero of faith realized that a child could have fulfilled his needs, but this was not enough to satisfy the needs of the Plan of God. From then on, what he wanted the most was to please God, fulfilling the needs of His project through the nation that would be born of him.

When we realize that what we have and want is small compared to what God has and wants, we will no longer be afraid to sacrifice, or give whatever it may be. Though he felt the pain throbbing in his chest, Abraham gave his son on the Altar, because his focus was no longer on Isaac, but the stars of heaven and the sand of the sea. His dream was God’s dream, and Abraham knew that God would never ask him to do something that would hinder His own dream.

Maybe you are only focused on one son – resolving one problem, whether it’s your family, love life, finances or health – and have not understood the greatness of what God plans to do through your life. Perhaps this son is enough for you, but it isn’t enough for God. And what do you want the most? Please yourself or please God? Hang on to what you already have and want, or hang on to what God has and wants for you and for mankind?

Abraham was not selfish. On the contrary: he was not afraid to let go of his dream in exchange for the dream of God. And, in the end, do you know what he learned? He didn’t need to remain without his son, he just couldn’t have his heart set on him. And, because Abraham’s heart was not set on his son – but in God –, the Most High was able to fulfill his desire, and add even greater achievements in his life.

Why don’t some people receive the Holy Spirit

“Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem you are endued with power from on high.” Luke 24.49

Here is the answer to why many do not receive the baptism with the Holy Spirit.

1. Jesus left His Inheritance for His disciples;

2. However, the possession of this inheritance required them to “wait in Jerusalem”;

3. Waiting in Jerusalem meant believing in the Promise, even during the persecutions that existed at the time.

This means: if they wanted to receive the Inheritance, they would have to endure persecution and not run away from it. Also, this meant they would need to forget their momentary needs and NOT THINK about anything else except receiving the Blessed Inheritance – the Holy Spirit.

They could have waited for the Inheritance at home, away from Jerusalem. But the Lord made sure to reward them specifically during the peak of the persecution;

4. The faithful should do their part by waiting in Jerusalem and wait to receive the Promise. This is faith! Because of this, they can and should CHARGE God their rights to the Inheritance;

5. The Lord will fulfill His part by coming upon you… so you can serve as a witness.

You may even say, “Lord, I did my part, but You have not done Yours.”

Is there faith in you for this?

“And… He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father…” Acts 1.4

“…you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me… to the end of the earth.” Acts 1.8

How to act as a champion

Who doesn’t wish to be a successful person? It’s hard to hear someone say that they don’t want to be successful in life. So, why doesn’t everyone succeed in life? Because they do not see themselves as champions, and as a consequence, they do not act as champions. Many are those who gave up on their goals, dreams and plans because they did not believe in themselves. Many are those who do not believe in their own potential. What can be done to change this situation?

Here are 3 tips that will help you to act as a champion:

Every Monday at the financial conference at The Universal Church, you will learn how to believe in yourself and how to pursue your dreams. You will also receive prayers for inner strength and for your financial life. Totality in Love

Do you know the meaning of the cross to Christians? It represents the totality of God in all the areas of the life of His children.

The vertical part points to the necessity of having and practicing an intelligent faith in the Author of Life. The horizontal part represents the importance of a good relationship with others, especially a good marriage.

Unfortunately, thousands of people are not fulfilled in their love life. They make efforts, they do whatever they can, but something is missing.

There are many who are:
• Married but live an unhappy marriage;
• Committed to their relationship but only receive ungratefulness in return;
• Faithful, they do not lie, but their partner has these attitudes;
• Seeing their relationship falling apart because of their wrong decisions, and they want to change;
• Taking care of themselves, they have self-love but have not found someone to build a life together;
• Emotionally wounded from previous relationships and in need of inner healing.

Many are the situations that depict the lack of happiness in the love life.

On February 11th, you will have the opportunity to fight for the Totality of God in your life. At the Love Therapy, you will learn to use your faith to see a restoration and a new start in your love life. Remember the cross – Jesus gave His life to rescue and save you and your family. Do not accept to continue in the same way.

Come every Thursday to seek the Totality of God in your life. The Love Therapy takes place at the state headquarters of The Universal Church. Feel free to call us 1-877-785-8700, or visit one of our location near you for more information.

The 3 most important aspects of Faith

More than two thousand people gathered in Portugal to listen to a word of faith ministered by Bishop Macedo. The meeting took place on December 20th and addressed one of the most important subjects in the Christian life: the prayer.

A great difference exists between speaking to God and listening to what God has to say. However, not everyone is ready to put into practice these two components of prayer.

“Many people stay in the church just asking and they never know what is it that God wants from them,” affirmed the bishop. “They want answers, but they remain only asking. If you want answers, you must meditate upon the Word of God. Do you want listen to the Voice of God? Then meditate upon His Word. To meditate means to seek, to search, to analyze, to weigh what God is saying.”

The prayer is the way God offered to humankind to have a two-way communication with Him. Therefore, one must use the intellect to listen to Him, to study His Word, and be willing to listen to His Voice.

The 3 Pillars of the Christian Faith

Bishop Macedo also explained about the 3 points that every Christian should be attentive to, because these are the most important points of the faith in the Lord. He said:

“The faith that pleases God involves:

1º Justice – Having a just character, living an honest and truthful life, the husband being faithful to your wife, and the wife being faithful to her husband;

2º Mercy – I must see others as if I were looking at myself. I must help and want the best for others in the same way I want for myself;

3º Faith – The certainty, the conviction that God is with me.”

“Maybe you profess the Evangelical, Catholic, Spiritualist, Muslim, Buddhist, or Jewish faith, but you do not please God,” added the bishop. For your faith to be pleasant in the sight of God, it is necessary to act upon these 3 pillars of faith, because they reflect God Himself.

“Justice represents God. God is Justice; He is a just Judge. Mercy represents the God-Son. Jesus manifested His mercy by coming into the world and giving His life to save us. Finally, faith represents the Spirit of faith, the Spirit that comes from God, the living faith. The faith that pleases God has to do with the attitudes of Jesus. To have the character of Jesus has to do with justice, with what is right, correct, wholesome, truthful, and honest; it has to do with compassion, mercy and the faith that is accompanied by works, by sacrifice, and forgiveness.”
