This is a warning to those who are newly converted and are learning the faith according to the Word of God, so they do not fall into the same mistakes as the hypocritical Pharisees. When examining the Scriptures, we observe the merciful way the Lord Jesus spoke to sinners.
To the adulterous woman, He said:
“…Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” John 8.11
To Zacchaeus:
“…Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham.” Luke 19.9
These people lived in unrighteousness (sin) because they never had access to the Lord’s Laws. But when they recognized the Lord Jesus, they were sincere and abandoned their wrongful doings and walked the path of righteousness. If there is anything that the Lord Jesus abhors, its hypocrisy; this is, when a person shows himself to be righteous before men, but behind closed door, he practices the most unrighteous acts (sins). The Pharisees did the same thing.
“Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.” Matthew 23.28
Our Lord call them “serpents, brood of vipers!” And asked them:
“How can you escape the condemnation of hell?” Matthew 23.33
The recognition of sins, sincere repentance and abandonment of sin calls the attention of God, who justifies us by faith. On the other hand, pride and hypocrisy provoke His wrath.
“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness…” Romans 1.18
Therefore, if you want to claim your rights to justice and destroy the injustices of this world that are plaguing your life, present your sacrificial and righteous faith on the Altar, which is the court of God, and walk in justice, otherwise, unfortunately, unrighteousness will destroy your life.
Abraham demanded his rights from God because he lived in righteousness. The Lord answered his request and, out of an entire city destroyed by fire and brimstone, only Abraham’s family was spared. The same will be true for you and your family if you believe and walk in righteousness.
THINK ABOUT THIS!
God bless you.
