…and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. Matthew 16.18

Why have the gates of hell prevailed in the lives of some assistants, as well as in the lives of people who have a title in the Church or are members? It is very difficult for many to overcome the devil, sin and their problems.

Have you ever thought about not being the Church of the Lord Jesus? There is the institutional church and the spiritual church. The institution is made up of members, assistants, pastors, bishops, wives, deacons, elders etc. However, within the institution, such as the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God, there is a small and select group that is not only part of the institution, but of:

…a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. 1 Peter 2.9

A chosen generation: generation means a group of individuals belonging to a common group and that exhibit similar characteristics among the members of the same species. I think these similar characteristics are the fruits of the Holy Spirit.

A royal priesthood: is a group of priests, or sacrificers. People who gave their lives on the Altar as “a living sacrifice, acceptable to God” and remain until death.

A holy nation: the meaning of nation is a group of individuals connected by the same language, common interests and goals; this group of individuals was “holy,” in other words, separated from the world, sin and their own personal interests and goals to fulfill God’s.

His own special people: just like cattle are branded with their owner’s initials, those who are part of these special people have the seal of the Holy Spirit, this is, His baptism, which is recognized by the gates of hell. For this reason, evil cannot touch them, not even their remains.

Proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness: these people were called to proclaim (announce) the Gospel, this is, win souls, fight for them, depopulate hell and populate heaven.

These are the people who are born of God, “THE CHURCH OF JESUS” over which the gates of hell cannot prevail. There is no other way for you to be part of this Church, other than through SACRIFICING everything you are and want to be; everything you have and intend to have; surrendering your life in favor of a life with God. And this has nothing to do with the position you have in the institutional church.
