Questions that pop into the minds of many are: Does this work? Will it really bless me? Would this actually work for me? We have seen thousands testify about how they’ve been incredibly blessed through challenges of faith, and we’ve also seen others join those same challenges and not get what they were looking for.
So, what is the secret to being blessed? What do you need to do to ensure that you’ll be blessed in the Campaign of Israel? Take a look at the following points:
1. Know what you want. Every Campaign of Israel, or chain of prayer, needs a goal. You need to define what it is that you want to achieve, and you need to be specific and as detailed as possible — not vague. When the Lord Jesus asked the blind man, “What do you want Me to do for you?” the man did not say, “I want to be blessed”, or “I want to be happy”. He said, “I want to see!” Define what you want and don’t forget about it.
2. Know what it is going to take to get it. God’s blessings are not magic. You can’t write down what you want, say a few magic words, and ta-da! – the blessing appears before your eyes. God is a miracle-maker, not a magician. Good things are not free. In the same way that you ask the price of something before you buy it, to know whether or not you can afford it, you also need to be aware of what it will take for you to get what you want.
3. Don’t start unless you are determined to finish what you begin. One of the main reasons why people are not blessed in a campaign is that they lack the determination to pursue their goal until they have achieved it. If what they are asking for does not happen within a few days or weeks, they lose faith and give up. When you join a challenge of faith, you have to commit to it 100% and refuse to give up or slow down until what you want is in your hands.
4. Make a complete sacrifice. A sacrifice is ‘giving up something of value to obtain something of greater value’. It is impossible to conquer an object of great value when you are unwilling to give up something for it. A true sacrifice does not go half way, it is complete. The blessing you want will require a complete sacrifice. For things that require God’s help, you need to act out your faith — your faith has to manifest in a concrete way, both spiritually and financially. Make sure your sacrifice is total and complete.
5. Believe, believe, believe. I know it sounds obvious, but so many join a Campaign of Israel and are filled with fear and doubt — and to one one’s surprise but their own, fail to be blessed. Bad thoughts bounce around in their head: “What if it doesn’t work? Why is it so difficult? Why do I have to be so extreme? Do I have to sacrifice?” Faith is an assurance — full stop. If you are nervous, anxious and unsure, you are filled with doubt, not faith. If this is happening to you, don’t join the challenge because you will be disappointed. Romans 14.23 says: “Everything that does not come from faith is sin.” You know you have the faith to participate in a challenge when God speaks to your heart and says: “Go ahead! I’m with you and I will not fail you!”
6. Don’t talk to anyone about what you are doing. Faith is an assurance that is given to you, and only you, so when you have the faith to join a campaign, don’t seek the opinion of anyone about what you should or should not do. It is your faith. Others will not understand it. Make sure that what you are doing agrees with the spirit of the Word of God. If lots of questions start crowding your mind, you are no longer functioning in faith, but rather doubt.
7. Act, act and act again! The Campaign of Israel starts at the moment God speaks to your mind, continues as you take an envelope from the altar and as you bring your sacrifice on the day, and continues until you finally get what you have asked for — which may be weeks or months after the day of the Challenge. Throughout this period, you need to actively pursue what you have asked for. You cannot give God, the devil or yourself any rest until you reach your goal.
Time after time we’ve seen the above steps work wonders in the lives of those who practice them. The Lord Jesus Himself followed these steps as He was accomplishing His mission on earth. He knew what He wanted and what it would take Him to get it. He was determined to go all the way. He made the most complete sacrifice that anyone could make. He believed in what He came to do. He did not consult anyone except His Father, and He was so active that He frequently had no time to stop and eat a proper meal (read Mark 6.31). Jesus reached His goal.
The fire will come down!
